Coronavirus Outbreak  Announcement

Coronavirus Outbreak - COVID-19 Announcement and Update.

Covid-19 update – June 24, 2021.

Dear Existing and New Customers,

It’s good news week for our industry. The Scottish Government says we can sing and dance again from August 9th (subject to final confirmation) although this currently applies to Wedding Receptions, we think other types of parties will be allowed too (should be allowed) but just incase restrictions are changed, we are still offering free cancellations on all booking up to July 31, 2022 for absolute peace of mind with no deposit. At least that is something you can be certain about in these uncertain times.

So please book your Event with absolute confidence that you will not be liable for ANY cancellation charges if you cancel your booking with us, for whatever reason more than 168 hours before the start time.

We confirm all bookings in writing and we do not take deposits, although full payment for our services is due on the day of the Event.

Please see information and links below from the Scottish Government.

Yours sincerely,

Chris Doherty,

Owner.

Changes to weddings from 28 June

Music and Entertainment

Focused, live entertainment can take place.  Guests must remain seated.

There should be no singing or dancing apart from:

the couple’s ‘first dance’

a dance between the couple’s parents provided they live in the same household

Suppliers included in guest numbers

All suppliers and all those working, including those employed by the couple, and for the venue, are excluded from the numerical caps.

Numbers of guests and seating arrangements

As above – no change

Changes to weddings from 19 July

Physical distancing

Restrictions on physical distancing are also due to be lifted on 19th July, (subject to confirmation) This means that no distancing will be required in outdoor spaces at weddings.  Indoors, physical distancing is due to be fixed at 1 metre across all venue types. This means that only 1m distancing will be required at ceremonies.

Weddings beyond Level 0

We will move beyond level 0 when we meet the gateway condition - which is all over 40’s having been vaccinated and assuming we are meeting our revised strategic aim of alleviating the harm of the virus (expected around 9th August, but subject to confirmation nearer the time).

When we move beyond level 0, and out of the levels framework, almost all COVID restrictions will be removed for businesses and individuals.  This will mean that businesses can re-open and can operate without restrictions on physical distancing or caps.

This will also mean that weddings can take place with dancing and singing and mingling, as before the pandemic.

Some baseline measures will remain, including good hand hygiene and surface cleaning and continued compliance with Test and Protect.  More guidance on these baseline measure will be provided prior to moving beyond level 0.

Coronavirus (COVID-19): tourism and hospitality sector guidance

Published: 16 Apr 2021

Last updated: 26 Apr 2021

Wedding receptions and funeral wakes

This guidance covers wedding receptions and funeral wakes in Scotland. In this guidance, the term “wedding receptions” includes receptions organised following the registration of a civil partnership.

Noise control

Low level background music is permitted. Further guidance can be found in the chapter on background music and sound.

Singing and dancing are not permitted at present. This is consistent with the measures being applied to hospitality more generally. Any change to this restriction for wider hospitality will also be applicable here. Live music is not permitted at receptions and wakes at present. The only exception to this is the couple’s ‘first dance’ and a dance between parents where they live in the same household.

Speeches should be made outside wherever possible. If indoors, it should be ensured that the space is well ventilated and the speech must be amplified via electronic equipment such as microphones and speakers to ensure that there is no need for raised voices.

Physical distancing should be maintained during speeches.

Microphones should be cleaned regularly and between use.

Low level background music and sound in hospitality: safe management

Discos, karaoke and other singing/dancing activities

Discos, silent discos, karaoke and other activities that require general singing or dancing are not permitted at this time. Only risk assessed low level background sound is dealt with in this guidance.

Covid-19 update – April 22, 2021.

Dear Existing and New Customers,

Atomik Disco booking service is still open as usual during this period of uncertainty.  We are helping our customers plan future Events with a reassurance that we will not charge a cancellation fee for any event cancelled more than 168 hours (7 days) before the start time for ALL bookings up to July 31, 2022. Yes, July 31, 2022. So please book your Event with absolute confidence that you will not be liable for ANY cancellation charges if you cancel your booking with us, for whatever reason more than 168 hours before the start time.

We confirm all bookings in writing and we do not take deposits, although full payment for our services is due on the day of the Event.

We closely monitor the Government and Health guidelines for our industry and as the Government have not given an indicative date for our industry to resume (we are not classified under Events, but in the Nightclub category) and we don’t anticipate this changing before the end of August 2021, we will therefore, not be taking any new bookings for any events commencing before September 1, 2021.

I thank you for your continued understanding in these difficult times.

Yours sincerely,

Chris Doherty,

Owner.

Covid-19 update – August 23, 2020.

Due to the strict Scottish Government Covid-19 virus guidelines/rules (which will be legally enforceable from August 28, 2020) relating to numbers allowed to attend indoor family/social gatherings, whether it is an individual’s home or a venue, we regret that we will be unable to provide an entertainment service until these change.

We are closely monitoring the guidelines and as the Government have not given an indicative date for our industry to resume (we are not classified under Events, but in the Nightclub category) and we don’t anticipate this changing before the end of September 2020, therefore, it would be prudent for us not to take any new bookings for any events commencing before October 2020.

I thank you for your continued understanding in these difficult times.

Yours sincerely,

Chris Doherty,

Owner.
